Don’t Miss the Uptown! Hollywood Gala Event

The Uptown! Entertainment Alliance is holding their Third Annual Red Carpet Gala as part of the continuing effort to bring theater to West Chester, Pennsylvania. With a mission to promote economic, cultural, and civic life experiences in the community via live theater, dance, film, and music – this event will bring Uptown! one step closer to their great goal.

As a Vintage Hollywood-style happening, this gala will include a red carpet entrance complete with photos, jazz music, a cocktail hour, a Marilyn Monroe look-alike, live modern and movie-tune music, dancing, and more. Wine will be provided by The Artisan’s Cellar and beer by Boxcar Brewing Co. There will also be a silent auction that will include items like a week’s vacation in St. Augustine, Florida, golf outings, and lunch with the Mayor of West Chester.

Truly, the gala will not only benefit Uptown!, but also the learning, cultural, and entertainment aspects of a revitalized West Chester and surrounding areas. As the theme is Vintage Hollywood, those attending are encouraged to dress up as their favorite movie star from that era or come in a black tie or cocktail attire.

All money raised will go toward the $4 million capital campaign to renovate the historic National Guard Armory building – a 10,900 square foot space which provides the perfect venue for theater.
