The Phoenixville Historic District is among the largest sites in the region on the National Register of Historic Places. Here, you will find many interesting places to visit. Notably, the city was the site of the Phoenix Iron Works where a landmark still stands today. The city is filled with a number of finely restored houses and great shopping areas.
The beautifully restored arcades in the Historic District are a world away from what you would usually find in a small city. If you’re looking for something more out of the ordinary, every year Blobfest celebrates Phoenixville’s appearance in classic 1950’s sci-fi horror movie, The Blob. There is a popular Blues Festival that takes place in September and there is live music and arts displays on the first Friday of every summer month.
