Feel Tranquil and Balanced at Yoga in the Cemetery

Yoga-in-the-cemetery

Yoga in the Cemetery will begin on Wednesday, May 27th at 6:30 PM at the Laurel Hill Cemetery. These sessions are a great way to find your balance and inner tranquility while taking in the views of the Schuylkill River.

The one hour sessions are for all levels and will be led by professional Hatha instructor Emily Golomb. The aim of this type of yoga is to enhance participants’ alignment, strength, and balance. Students will be encouraged to find a deeper connection between their minds and bodies during this meditative practice.

Students will need to bring their own yoga mats and after the session there will be light refreshments provided. Those attending will meet at the Laurel Hill Cemetery Gatehouse located at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. There is free parking in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse. The cost is $20 per person and you can get your tickets in advance by calling 215-228-8200. These events will take place twice a month.
