Deadline for Shares of the Community Garden is Approaching

If you appreciate savoring fresh, locally grown produce then don’t miss your opportunity to purchase a share of Sankanac CSA for the 2015 season. This biodynamic garden covers 15 acres and can provide plenty of food for you and your family to enjoy.

As Community Supported Agriculture continues to grow in popularity, these shares have become available to the public. Owning a share means getting a set amount of farm products based on each harvest. When you purchase a share you will receive seasonal produce every week during farming season.

Shares that feed a family of 4 cost $765, while couples or individuals who love veggies can get a partial share for $440. Food can be picked up on Tuesdays or Fridays for a total of 24 weeks during growing season. They also have “U-pick” crops such as flowers and berries available.

Owning a share ensures that you will get a great mix of vegetables, herbs, berries, and flowers. The whole operation is run by Todd and Mary Newlin – the head gardeners. They oversee a crew of more than 10 gardeners that include those with special needs, service volunteers, apprentices, and interns.

For more information, or to request a share, simply email SankanacCSA@gamil.com before the deadline of March 31st, 2015. This is just another great reason to call the wonderful city of Phoenixville home!
