Pumpkinfest is This Weekend!
Mark your calendars and be sure to head down to Pumpkinfest this Saturday, October the 17th where there will be plenty to see and do. This is a perfect event for the whole family and it’s all happening right in the heart of Phoenixville! Here’s what will be going on:

Best Pumpkin Dish

Come try a variety of different pumpkin-based dishes and then vote for your favorite. Local restaurants will be cooking up pumpkin creations like pumpkin risotto and pumpkin chicken curry – don’t miss your chance to try something unique and delicious! There will be a People’s Choice Award and an award given out by a panel of three official judges for Best Pumpkin Dish. This year’s participants are Marly’s BYO, Molly Maguire’s, Pepperoncini, and the Great American Pub Hotel.

Live Expert Carve

This is for those who consider themselves true pumpkin sculptors. This timed event gives contestants 3.5 hours to create their best carved pumpkin. The pumpkin carvings will be judged by local Phoenixville artists, while trophies and prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The even will go from 12 noon to 3:30 PM and will take place in the municipal lot at the intersection of Bridge Street and Main Street. Click here for more information.

Painted Pumpkin Competition

With 3 different age categories, there’s fun for everyone in the People’s Choice Painted Pumpkin Competition! Check-in starts at 10 AM and ends at 10:30 AM – when the viewing and voting time begins. Pumpkins must be painted before check-in time and the winners will receive cash prizes! Age categories are as follows:

Jack Be Littles (Ages 10 & Under)
Jr. Jumpin Jack (Ages 11-16)
